Having wedding magnets as wedding favors could be really interesting and useful.

First of all, they can be sticked on fridge and be used to hold memo.

Secondly, magnets could be stuck to the fridge and won’t disappear among the pile of papers we have on our desks.

Many times, we either cast the wedding favors into the deep corners of cabinets or throw them away when we reached home.

When choosing wedding favor, I look for its practicallity. Can it be used? Will guests throw them away or even leave it behind in the wedding ballroom?

If the answer to the above questin is yes, then it may guarantee a longer lifespan for your wedding favors and they may not end up in the rubbish bins yet.

Update of Wedding Blog Readers

I was looking at my traffic to My Wedding Blog and realised more and more people are reading my blog. There was even a shoot up in the readership per day.

Some even stayed for more than one hour reading post after post.

Interestingly, advertisers are coming to ask if they display ads on my sidebar as well as text-link a keyword from my post to their website.

Wedding Themes

Generally, the layout of the wedding ballroom remains the same.

Layout includes the pillars, stage and doors. What makes the difference to a wedding is the wedding theme you are going to choose.

I remembered when I was at Holiday Inn Park View (Singapore) and the banquet manager showed me some themes of the weddings.

There were crystal theme, fresh flowers theme and even chocolate theme.

It was not easy to choose the most suitable theme for your wedding.

One good method to choose is to know what you want. You may want to choose it based on your characteristic.

A simple rule to remember is let the theme fit you, not the other way round.

Ask yourself these following questions.

Are you a gentle person or a loud person or a fun person?

If you are gentle and quiet, you may want to choose something light.

If you are a loud person, you may want to select a theme that describe you.

If you are a fun person, you may want the decoration to bring out some fun and exciting elements.

I was surfing the net and saw a silk theme. It was soft and gentle and light. I really like it and it makes me feel as if I’m floating on the clouds.

Some couples may like to have a music theme. Such theme may even require a wedding band to be around to add music to the atmosphere.

So before you finalise the theme with your banquet manager, do know what you want. If you are unsure, you may want to arrange with your manager to view the ballroom on an actual wedding day.

We met with out banquet manager just before a real wedding took place and we had a feel of what it was like. The best way to experience is to walk into the ballroom which was decorated with the theme you wanted.

Whatever themes you choose, you have to pay different prices.

Wedding Dance

Wedding dance is rare in weddings. Beside really soothing and romantic wedding music being played in the background, you get to see the dance by the two main stars of that evening.

In Asia, there is seldom any dance. Guests sat in their seats all night, waiting to be served.

The guests hurried themselves to finish eating the food on their plates. The night seemed to pass by quickly and by the time even before dessert comes, many guests would have left.

Personally, I don’t really like to attend wedding dinner but I love to take photos of the wedding couples.

I love to capture every moment of their smile and laughter.

Beside this, I like nothing else about wedding dinner.

In a typical wedding, its highlight is the table-to-table toasting when bride and groom move from table to table to thank their guests for coming. Sometimes, they have table games such as forcing the groom to drink more liquor than he can hold or the bride has to pass an egg from the left trousers to the right of the groom.

Such games may create some momentary excitement to the wedding dinner.

The only very memorable wedding was the one that I attended on last Sunday. We were entertained by wedding singers.

Something different at least and for the guests to talk about even days after the wedding.

So far, I seldom saw any wedding dance except for the one that we had at my cousin’s wedding.

Wedding Dinner of My Cousin

Before you continue reading, have you seen this post on my cousin’s wedding day programme and another post on her solemnisation. If not, please do so that there will be a flow.

Back to this post, my cousin’s wedding dinner hosted 56 tables in total, each table taking 10 people.

It was a really big wedding event for her with so many guests turning up for her very special day.

The wedding programme always started off with 1st march-in to cut the wedding cake.

She had actually engaged wedding singers to provide entertainment for her guests.

It was a splendid surprise for all of us, including me as I had never attended a wedding dinner with singing sessions.
