5 Ways on “How To Plan A Cheap Wedding?”

Are you thinking of planning a cheap wedding?

Many wedding couples have taken this route to avoid burning their pockets too deeply. There are just too many things needed to plan for a wedding.

In fact, I have always shared with my readers that wedding planning is a team effort between the bride and groom.

I feel it is fine to work on a budget as long as this is the common agreement between the bride and groom.

So you are looking for tips on how to plan a cheap wedding?

Here are 5 ways you can plan one:

Wedding Gowns:
I know many brides long for the wedding gowns of their dreams. However, in reality, there is always the budget constraint. You may want to choose a gown that is off-the-rack, meaning that the gowns have been worn before by other brides in the past. They may be still new and just need slight alteration to fit you.

Alternatively, you can get a nice looking prom dress and get it altered by a trusting seamstress.

Wedding Photographer:
Looking for a professional photographer? Only if your budget allows. My cousin, who is going to have her wedding in 3 weeks’ time, asked friends and cousins to help. Yes, you can do this only if you just want normal photographs for your wedding. Your expectation in the quality of the photos has to be kept in check.

The list is endless and even if you may want to try out making one item, the work would be multiplied by at a few hundred times depending on the quantity you are making.

Plus, you may need to shop for the materials, make an effort to the venue where they are sold, asking along people to help you and giving treats to them after their help.

There are many things to be done if you are saving, say $50.

Along the way, when the big day draws nearer, there are more tasks to be done.

There will be more decisions to be made and contigency plans to be drawn out.

Usually after the wedding, the couples would have used up all their savings or even in debt!!!

Wedding DIY Wedding Cards

As Featured On Ezine Articles

I have asked my friend who wanted to make her wedding into a special one.

She wants to DIY her wedding invitation cards.

As much as she wanted to, she has no time. She had to work from morning to night and by the time, she reaches home, she is totally exhausted.

But she still wanted to. But she is not doing anything about. Work and wedding planning had sapped almost all her energy away.

How many of us were like her when we were planning our wedding?

Wanting to do alot but having little energy and time, there is little we can do.

In fact, the very common items we can DIY are wedding inivtation cards, wedding corsages, wedding favors.

The list can go on. You can eevn sew your own wedding gown if you want to. Some brides even ask their friends to help decorate the wedding dinner venue, bringing in their flower stands with fresh flowers.

I guess wedding should be as simple as possible. Less to coordinate even though there are endless stuff to finalise.

I remembered I had another friend who DIY her wedding invitation cards?but she printed from her home printer and folded them into a card.

Some wedding couples treated their cards like a unique art-work and every card is different.

Below are some cards you may want to start off with.

I have some emails from brides who grumbled over how much money they have to spent on their wedding.

In fact, there are some items which we could do it ourselves.

If our designs are nice and unique, we can even sell them to friends who have money to spare but no time.

These few posts will be for those of you who want to DIY or you may want to make them to sell.

But be prepared, DIY needs time, effort, patience and creativity.

If your designs are common and dull, customers can get from any where.

Looking at the websites of some brides, there are in fact brides who are entrepreneurial and they sell their wedding ideas to other brides.

They have so many ideas and the key difference is they allow customisation.

For a start, I would like to post on placecards.

Many times our placecards come together with the wedding dinner package.

Most of them look plain and simple.

Whichever wedding dinner we go to, all the placecards look the same and boring.
