I have just collected my wedding photos. And I know many people have been asking about them. So here you go. 😀 …>.<
How I feel about the photos? I didn’t expect they turn out to be so well. Thanks for modern photos editing software, flaws can be covered. Hehe…But my fiancee is really very pretty, isn’t she?
I still remember I went through the wedding photography session without my glasses. Whatever I see is completely blur when I looked ahead. I could still make up the shape of the person or the object. Still not so bad…as in, I won’t bump into the props…haha…
They were different venues. The indoor photography session lasted from 10am till 4pm. Then, the photographer drove us and the light-man to NTU which is in Boon Lay. Thus, we spent 1 hour to travel from North to the extreme West of Singapore (NTU – Nanyang Technological University). My fiancee and I met there and so it was a nostalgic place full of beautiful memories.
We spent about an hour there, moving from NTU Admin Annex to Nanyang Auditorium and then to LT 7, beside the Administration Building.
The photographer was very creative and flexible in making use of the venue to take wonderful wedding photos. He actually waited for the fountain to function before he snapped.
At about 6pm, we boarded the Mercedes Benz and travelled to Changi Village. It was a pier behind the SAF chalets. It was another 1 hour of commuting from extreme West to the extreme East. When we reached there, it was already 7pm and the photography session lasted for another 2 hour.
We were really very tired by then. However, it was an enjoyable session, travelling to extreme corners of Singapore for our wedding shots.

Hey, I happened to see a flash presentation online and find it rather impressive. (The link is displayed on another blogger’s blog.)
The presentation is about a series of wedding photos that were taken.
For couples who want to have a feel of how wedding photos look lilke, you can go to this web site: https://www.thegaleria.com/weddings/gideon_winnie/
(Disclaimer: This web-link to thegaleria.com is just for readers’ info. It is not in anyway, a recommendation. Readers are encouraged to source from a number of photographers and meet them personally. Then, choose the one that suit your personal style.)

There is some amendment. Instead of the previously stated 5 photographers, my fiancee had cold-called at least 10 of them. On last Monday, our photographer had emailed us the contract and all we need to do right now is to go to his studio to sign it. Hmmm..but we are always so busy…..wonder when can we go?
Meanwhile, this is another piece of work by my photographer. You can view more of his works at this post https://romance-fire.com/?p=63

a great relief!!! After my fiancee has sourced for at least 4 photographers, we have finally sticked to me and booked him for our wedding day.??How it all started is my fiancee got her first contact from a friend and though the first photgrapher she had contacted was booked, she asked for a referral.?
Then, she will contact the second one and tell him she was referred. Hmmm…maybe got discount if we tell him we are referred.
My fiancee cold-called 4 to 5 photographers and went to see 4 of them. Actially, we are supposed to see 2 today and 1 tomorrow, we cancelled them because we have made up our mind.
The credit of finding all these photgraphers all goes to her and I want to thank her for the effort.
Generally, all photographers have different styles of photography. Some preferred the more traditional type – you look at the camera and I shoot. The conventional type is the photographer shoots from far and you are not aware you are bing shot at. The term we used here is “capturing of the moment”. Next moment, it will be gone. Get it?
Many times, when we are going to take a photo of someone, we called out to him and say “look here” What happens next? A moment ago he was smiling happily. The next moment, he grew conscious of himself and the smile looks faker. The most natural smile is the beautiful one.
I choose my photgrapher because he is humble and he is very frank. I like his openess to give his customers feedback on how to take photographs and even to organise a wedding such that the couples, not the guests. enjoy. Hmmm…wondering if I can say his name out…but hhmmmm..free publicity ah…especially this blog is viewed by about 100 readers per day.
Anyway, this is his company “Let There Be Light.” I feel good photographers should be acknowledged for their work. A photograph is an art work and if it is alive, it can tell a story.
Here are his company’s work. (hope they don’t sue me for putting up their work in my blog. Like what I said, i will say it again. Great photos must share and hmmm..maybe this publicity can bring them more business…disclaimer: i got no commission or whatever benefits from them for putting their photos and link here.)

It is really a headache to find the photographer. Maybe I got high expectation? But once in a lifetime le. The skill of the photographer must at least be better than me. :p
For me, taking photos is like telling a story. It requires patience to capture the right moments. Each photo shows a captured moment. Many photos tell the whole story. It is not easy. It requires patience and sharpness. Out of 10 shots of the same scene, maybe 1 or 2 will be the better ones.
For me, I was asked to take photographs for free for one of my friends’ ROM. This is one of the photos I can share with you. It is a pillow with the wedding bands on top. For those who are preparing for weddings, remember to get a pillow. It could be part of the freebies from the bridal package. If no, you got to get one, either by borrowing or getting a new one.

The next photo is a picture of my cousins when they were attending my other cousin’s wedding dinner. As typical teenagers, their eyes were always glued to their mobile phones.
