Bridal Jewelry and Wedding Bands

diamond wedding band

Sparkling bridal jewelry is always worn to complement the outfit of the bride. They can be various necklaces, ear-rings or even head accessories.

However, one thing never changes is the wedding ring. Despite the many designs of wedding rings, the significance of it is still of high importance in a wedding ceremony.

Having wedding rings is a must and without it, there won’t be any wedding.

Whenever brides and grooms shop for their wedding rings, they can be initially confused of the various designs, brands and cuttings of the rings. In addition, the diamonds that come with the brides’ rings do come in different cut, clarity, carat and cost.

Again, the wedding rings that you really love may exceed your budget. So do take note of how much cash you have allocated for the wedding rings.

I personally believe it is up to your preference. I don’t really like the wedding band with diamond even though it can be quite an in thing nowadays that men like diamonds too, sometimes more than women.

50 Ways to Save Money on Your Wedding

Contributed by the Frugal Panda:

save money

Planning a wedding can be an extremely stressful and costly endeavor. Weddings generate billions of dollars each year in revenue, with the average wedding costing over $20,000. But a wedding doesn?t have to be expensive to provide a wonderful experience. You can still have your dream wedding at a fraction of the cost. There are many ways to make your wedding less stressful on your finances so that you and your future spouse have more money to spend on things to start your lives together. Here are a few suggestions on how to cuts costs and still have a beautiful wedding.

General

Set a Budget: The first step to keeping your wedding spending under control is to create a budget. Decide how much you can spend and don?t overspend, not even for the delightful themed extras. A few dollars here and there can add up over time.
Prioritize Spending: There are some things that might be more important to you and your finance/e than others. Prioritize to spend more on things to truly matter to you and cut costs on things that aren?t as important.

Keep It Simple: One way to save money and your sanity is to simplify your wedding. Sometimes less really is more. Do you really need every one of those five-course dinners to enjoy your special day?

Give Yourself Time: By giving yourself ample time to plan, you won?t feel rushed at the last minute and forced into using services and products that are more expensive. By having more time you?ll be able to shop around for the best deals, and not get stuck with what?s available at the last minute. Plus, if you have a credit card that accumulates airline miles or points for travel, you?ll have time to use this card so you can use the rewards to cut prices on your honeymoon travel.

Clothing

Shop Second Hand: If you?re not dead set on having a new dress, you can often find great dresses at consignment shops, on eBay, or in the classifieds. These dresses, in all but the most extraordinary cases, have only been worn once and a second-hand dress can provide a great money saving alternative. Or, if you?re looking for something more meaningful, ask a family member if they have a dress you can wear. It will be sentimental and help you save some money.

Rent Your Dress: For those who aren?t hung up on keeping their wedding dress for future generations, renting can also be an option.

Consider Evening Gowns: Who says a wedding dress has to be one that was made especially for that purpose? Often an evening gown purchased off the rack in a department store (especially on sale!) can be just as elegant and considerably less expensive.

Shop for Samples: It?s commonplace for bridal shops to have sales to clear out their remaining stock of each year?s wedding dresses in a sample sale. Get out your phone book and call your local bridal shops to see if and when they hold sales. It might take a little more planning, but you can get great deals on designer dresses this way.

Preparing Your Skin For Your Wedding Day!!!

Preparing your skin for the big day yet does not have sufficient time to go for the professional facials? We shall unveil some of the jargon in moisturizers and let you purchase what?s necessary to maintain your skin condition in the midst of your wedding preparations.

For simplicity we shall introduce 2 basic layers of your skin:

– The outermost is call the epidermis

– Below it is the dermis where the lack of elasticity would cause wrinkles

Moisturizers can act as a sealant that traps moisture that already exists in your skin as well as a moisture magnet that attracts moisture from the surrounding. Moisturizers have molecules some larger than the others. The 3 common skincare products are serums, gels and creams.

Serum ? Gel ? Creams

Serums are sometimes known as essences which have the smallest molecules and creams have the largest molecules due to its chemical compound. Imagine your skin has tiny pipes leading down to the layers of skin and the molecules are tiny balls going down the pipe. We would apply the serums first because it has the ability to penetrate below the epidermis layer, followed by the gel and then the creams which acts like a cork which seals them all.

How much do you know about the person you have married?

Neither do I know much but it doesn’t stop me from understanding my wife more and more everyday.

Yesterday, I was helping my wife with some paper work and generally I typed faster than I speak.

I also have the eye for details and I can spot any error or typo if there is one.

I do love to read alot and sometimes I give suggestions to my wife to run her group of little monkeys using management strategies that huge Multi National Companies have used.

Hmmm, quite interesting to see that different strategies, once fine-tuned to suit the needs of different environment do work to certain extent.

What I am doing my best to say here is that husband and wife have different strengths, skills and knowledge. Most of the times, the husband may have the solution to the wife’s problem at work and sometimes, the wife can help the husband out with relationship problem with his boss.

Remember ladies always have the magical personal touch.

Thus, husbands may want to seriously “hire” their wives as interpersonal relationship consultant.

Personally, I love coming up with tactics and methods to work around various difficult situations.

Do You Really Need a Wedding Planner?

wedding couple biting apple

I was in the cab a moment ago with my cousin and we were discussing if a soon-to-wed couples need a wedding planner.

I personally feel “yes” and “no”.

Why “yes”?

1. If you feel you are completely straped off all your time due to work or socialisation and you are dead-tired when you reached home, I feel you do not only should, but must get a wedding planner.

2. Some wedding couples are not into organing anything for themselves. They feel that they are much better off delegating these “impossible” tasks to someone more professional. Then, they can engage a wedding planner to avoid bring unnecessary pain upon themselves.
