The whole wedding was divided into 3 parts.
In the morning, it was the church wedding.
Followed by an afternoon of fine-dining in a Country Club and then, another wedding party at night (which I will blog in part 3 soon and this was part 1 of their wedding.)
I think it was a wedding of a different kind, in the sense they do not have wedding dinner, which normally Chinese wedding couples have.
From how I see it, wedding dinner is meant more for the relatives and families as Chinese take it as a formal invitation for everyone that the family knows and has such a grand celebration to announce to everyone that their children are getting married.
But again, you may not want to know the hassle of organising one with all the problems ranging from interference of mother-in-law to not really friendly or helpful hotel staff.
For the wedding party, it is eh… I should tell you more in the next post.
Anyway, back to Stuart and Kloudiia’s wedding, below is a slideshow of their church wedding.

I attended one of my mentor’s wedding yesterday. It was a Catholic wedding at the Church of St Mary of the Angels.
It was the second Catholic wedding I had attended and it was a beautiful experience, totally different from my cousin’s Buddhist wedding ceremony in May 07.
My friends and I arrived quite early, at about 8.30am. There were already many guests, most probably the relatives and immediate family members.
During such wedding, normally the members closer to the wedding couple would turn up especially early for such important occassion.
I remember on my wedding day, one of my aunties turned up at 6.30am at my house and we only leaving the house at 8.10am to fetch the bride.
Back to Stuart and Kloudiia’s wedding, the bride was in this fantastically gorgeous wedding gown from TedWu.

After having lots of fun at my cousin’s hens’ parties, the bridesmaids still had lots of fun carrying out the wedding games that they had prepared earlier on.
The inital scheduled timing for the groom to reached was at 7am. However, they didn’t reach till 7.15am. It was expected.
I did the same for my wedding. My brothers and I loitered at the void deck for 10 minutes before calling the bridesmaids that we had reached.
It was common sense to do it for most weddings. Most grooms would choose to be late rather than on time to give as little time for the wedding games as possible.
Even married couples had advised us to do that. So it was not unusual that the groom was late for my cousin’s wedding.
Back at my cousin’s home, the groom called only after 7 or I think it was the other way. The bride called the groom to ask him where he was.
She told the bridesmaids that the groom’s party was late and the bridesmaids added more weird stuff for them as a form of punishment.
Finally soon after, the groom arrived with his gung-ho brothers and he had to read out the rules to the games. (I posted some of the rules in the “wedding games” post)
I was stuck outside the door with the groomsmen as I had to take picture when the groom got off his bridal car.

Say goodbye to singledom with a big big dash.
This is indeed what my cousin’s friend had for her.
We were catching up a few days before her wedding on last Sunday and she shared with us what her best gal friends had in store for her.
I only managed to catch a bit here and there and there were enough to leave me in awe and their celebration was super crazy in my opinion.
I have heard of stories of ladies having a private party which they engaged male strippers and had a wild wild fun into the late night.
I’m glad my cousin had lots of fun with her good friends around her and including some male dancers who were literally lap-dancing on her.
That night of excitement and fun was entirely free!
You know how they did it?
It was pretty interesting and I guessed only ladies can do that.
First she could sell her kisses plus condoms. Yes, condoms!
