There are many places you can go for your honeymoon ranging from Asia, to Europe to the States. If we can have more than one honeymoon, we would love to visit Europe.
I have heard about wonderful things about Europe mainly from friends who have studied there and they used their school breaks to tour the neighbouring areas. Of course, it will be cheaper to depart within Europe itself compared to travelling all the way from Asia.
There are so many places in Europe that you can visit. However, there is another important factor we need to consider.
It is money.
Having burnt a big hole in our pocket from our wedding, the places we can go for our honeymoon is very limited by our budget.
I have even heard of honeymoon being pushed back because the couple is deeply in debt and they can’t even afford to have a short trip to the neighbouring islands.

I had 2 incredible weddings in a roll for the past two days.
One of them was my neighbour’s and the other was my beloved cousin’s.
It was fun and very tiring in fact as I had to work in the morning till evening and had to rush home to get myself prepared for the wedding dinner on last Saturday. I only managed to catch a 45 minutes nap.
Somehow, I have yet to recover from the oversea travelling fatigue and I am still really tired, physically and emotionally.
I just feel drained.
However, I still dragged myself to attend both weddings as both were relaly significant for me.
Let me tell you more about the first wedding – my neighbour’s.
The bridal car with its envoy of the brother’s cars came at about 7am. The loud series of horn blasts woke the whole neighbourhood up. The horn was to signify the coming of the groom to fetch the bride and it somehow started the day with a “bang!”
The wedding games by the bridesmaids were simpler compared to mine. They just had a game of passing the rubber using straws and had to be done using the groomsmen’s mouths, guessing from a paper of full of kisses and signatures which of those belong to his wife.
Later, was the declaration of love by the groom and he had to read a signed contract done by the bride.

I have heard of this saying that if you want to drive a woman crazy, all you need to do is to let her plan a wedding, preferably her own.

1. How will her parents drive her insane?
If you are planning your wedding, you will know what I meant. Parents want the best for their daughter, but they didn’t know that they cause more harm.
Have you ever feel as if your parent, especially your mom is planning for her own wedding?
She would want you to wear certain color, especially red for the Chinese as it represents good fortune.
I remembered my mother-in-law wanted my wife to choose a bright red wedding gown and it looked so odd. Nowadays, youngsters like us want to choose contemporary color which suit our character and the current trend.
Can you imagine wearing your mom’s wedding gown now?

I was in Hong Kong for about 7 days and met up with one of my wife’s friends, who may be getting married next year or so.
It is really common for couples in Hong Kong to engage wedding planners to help plan their weddings.
It is of no surprise to me as wedding planning service is getting more and more common nowadays especially when both brides and grooms are working and it really take discipline to carfully manage their own wedding.
My wife’s friend, G told us that in Hong Kong, it may cost up to S$30,000 (at least!) to have their wedding. And friends around them often engage wedding planners.
Thus, it appears normal and common sensical to them to engage one too.
I’m not sure how reliable wedding planners are, especially I have heard stories of some wedding planners who screw up weddings rather than making them a success.
