I have some emails from brides who grumbled over how much money they have to spent on their wedding.

In fact, there are some items which we could do it ourselves.

If our designs are nice and unique, we can even sell them to friends who have money to spare but no time.

These few posts will be for those of you who want to DIY or you may want to make them to sell.

But be prepared, DIY needs time, effort, patience and creativity.

If your designs are common and dull, customers can get from any where.

Looking at the websites of some brides, there are in fact brides who are entrepreneurial and they sell their wedding ideas to other brides.

They have so many ideas and the key difference is they allow customisation.

For a start, I would like to post on placecards.

Many times our placecards come together with the wedding dinner package.

Most of them look plain and simple.

Whichever wedding dinner we go to, all the placecards look the same and boring.

Destination wedding to some exotic places could only be afforded by couples who have some spare cash to spare.

Normally, for a middle-income family like mine, we will go to normal places like Taiwan, Japan or Korea (South Korea) to be exact for our honey moon. And we will most probably spend a week or two over there following guided tour or on free and easy package.

The general spending of one person could be around S$4000.

Lately, I had seen some interesting posts by brides of other countries planning to go to wonderful places such as resorts or villas by the sea where they can relax after months of planning their wedding.

My friend’s mother had passed away…

Another human had left this world and moved on the next…

From religion’s point of view, God had taken her…

At the moment, I had no idea what to blog about.

The news came this morning and I could still feel the uneasiness inside me.

I’m also not sure how my friend is feeling now…

When I start to think about my age (I’m about 27 this year), there is also fear in me when I start to see people around me aging and some leaving.

When we are at our age, we are scaling the corporate ladder, building our families, bringing up our children…

many times when we see younger children, they somehow make us remember how we were like when we were their age.

And now, some of us are married, others will soon get married…

time had passed so fast and we are all grown-ups now…

What if we imagine right now, our children in their thirties…how old will we be?

Lets add another 30 to our age and we will be 60 plus.

Oh my!!! It is really scary to the certain extent to think of ourselves having travelled most of our life journey.

Then, we may see our own children getting married…or even see our first grandchild…Hmmmm…quite a scene to look forward to…and by that time, the little baby in our arms may remind us of ourselves when we were babies…60 years ago…
