A bride emailed asking for help on her fairy tale wedding theme.

First of all, I have to admit this is the first time I have heard about “fairy theme wedding”, no doubt I have heard about “Hello Kitty Wedding“.

So, what is a fairy tale theme wedding?

Does it need to be magical just like in the fairy tale?

Does it need to be held at Disneyland Hotel?

Or does it need to have fairy tale characters to remind you of the childhood fairy tale which you have heard as a child?

Most girls over the ages have been enchanted by fairytales of the princess going off with her handsome prince and living happily ever after.

I believe the mostly used wedding theme is either Mickey and Minnie Disney theme or Cinderella and Prince fairy tale theme wedding.

Other themes from popular fairy tales such as the Frog Prince, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty are often used.

Of course, there will be such fairy tale characters almost everywhere ranging from the reception to the table decors and so on.

So I spent about 2 hours doing internet research to answer this bride’s question to the best I can.

I discovered 4 fairy tale related weddings that brides are searching for in Google:

Rather than just trying to explain them in words. I would prefer to show more pictures.

Imagine eating “mice” before your first course dinner?

For the Snow White theme, red apple candies are popular and those that prefer the frog prince would give out chocolate frogs.

You know you can inject fairy like experience into your wedding. Remember the before the march-in, guests may like to give the couples a rousing send off.

So why not hand out “magic wands? which are sparklers, so the attendees can wave them off to their new life. Wow, it is just like fairy godmothers (and fathers) casting magic of blissfulness on the newly-wed couple!

For the bride, her obvious apparel would be a flowing bell-shaped ballroom gown with a wasp waist bodice covered in some glitter, these could consist of some crystal or any other shimmering material.

Don?t forget the royal tiara which is a must for any princess and perhaps some long white gloves and clear ?glass? crystal slippers actually vinyl. In terms of jewelry choose a centerpiece such as a pearl necklace with some matching earrings.

P.S: A final wedding tip for you:
Again, I would like to caution brides not to overdo the decoration and make the wedding decor too cluttered.
