“I will do my best to give you whatever you deserve…” it was a statement that this man once told a woman.
Though they had only been married for barely 12 years before cancer took this man away from mother and son, the man had left a deep impact in how to love the wife in the son.
When I looked back these 13 years after this man had passed away, I will never forget what my mom told me about this man…yes, you are right…this great man is non other than my dad.
Despite him not being with me (physically), my mother had told me of great stories of how my dad had taken care of her…not by monetary terms….or material needs..but the endless love and concern that he had showered over both me and mom…
He once told my mom that though he may not be very rich, but he swore to my mom that he would do his very best to give what my mom deserves….what does she deserves is not important…
how would you feel if the man you love tell you this statement one day?

A moment ago our wedding photographer Ant smsed my wife that our wedding photos are ready for collection.
When I think back, our wedding date was 10/12/06 an today was 16/01/07. It was about a month plus for the processing and editing of the wedding photos.
In fact, he was delivered the photos much earlier because he told us the earliest date was end of January or beginning of February.
I think earlier the better as we couldn’t really wait for the photos to be ready.
Anyway, tomorrow we had to pay the balance of S$900 out of the S$1800 package, just photography with express highlights. For him, we pay him upon signing the contract and then upon receving the final photos.
The price is fine as long as Ant delivers good quality stuff and work. I’m sure he will.
Keep a look out for his photos…actually they are my wedding photos taken by him and his assistant and if you find that it is really good…engage him…
hmmm…free publicity for him…maybe can earn some commission from him…haha..any way I don’t earn anything for publicising for him. >.<

Married life means a life of commitment. There is no longer just you or me but it is about us. Us means you+me or even you overlapping me.
To me, married life means being there for her when she has happy (or sad) things she wants to share with me.
Married life means understanding how hectic my partner’s work has been and understanding that she may be affected in one way or the other.
Married life means forgiving my partner for not having spent enough time with me.
I had heard of stories of how husband had taken his wife for granted and even blaming her for not spending enough time at home, for bringing complaints from work to home or even for not having taken good care of the children.
For me, my personal opinion is it is ok for my wife to talk about the stress she faced in work because she must have felt comfortable to share with me and she feels safe with me. And this is why she shares with me.
I don’t know. I have heard of spouses feeling really irritated by the complaints from their significant others.
If after she shares with me and she feels better, I don’t mind sharing half of her burden.
If after she shares with me and she knows a better way to cope, I don’t mind listening to what she says.
If after she shares with me and I could understand her better, I don’t mind spending my time hearing her out.
If I, as the husband won’t listen, who will?
