Weddings of the Riches and Middle-Incomers

I’m from a middle-income family and my value as a guy, a future man of the house will pay for everything on the wedding. Yes, it is not easy because the expenses is so high. Pay this and that…a few days later, a lump sum for this and that…

Many times, I think of borrowing…but no way…I will work hard and give what my fiancee deserves…many times, people around me ask me if I have enough money…i said “yes”…and the next moment I’m thinking of how to make more money…whay a lie I have told them…

It is not easy…to push through all these times, work, tuition and studies…it almost killed me..emotionally….and I’m really tired…sometimes, I wonder, is this the feeling of “pushing all the way” for the family? the feeling is not familiar but I’m slowly learning…learning to protect my fiancee…protect her from doing too much work, taking too much of my burden…i will want to carry her burden despite of having so much myself…

Many times, I saw my friends’ weddings…40 tables…60 tables..expensive gown packages….and i ask myself, where on earth they get so much money? then, i heard that they have sponsorship from parents..their parents are paying for their dinner…their parent are paying for their house…their parents are paying for their honeymoon….

?yes, sounds good..sounds like they are having a good life…no worries like me over the money issue…i can almost tear my hair off because of the money shortage…yes, im stubborn not to borrow…NO not stubborness…it is my value and integrity..i say i will fork out my own money…and i will do so as promised…so my fiancee no need to worry anything about it and be a happy bride….:)

After-thought: marriage is a happy thing; going through is not easy; what matter most is both of us go through together, making all the decisions, doesn’t matter right or wrong..what matter most is both of us go through together

JR, I appreciate how you feel! From buying of our house to doing the banquet and stuff, I told my bf that we shd pay every single cent ourselves and not expect parents to pay for us. 🙂 But well, I’m sharing in the expenses as well, so seems like your wife to be is more fortunate !! haha…
