Finding Clarity In Life

Another 12 hours to go before we embark on our second honeymoon and we are totally thrilled.

And not forgetting panicky too as we have yet to pack our luggage.

Despite the fact I have so many things undone, I decided to steal some time to write this post before my 2 weeks of disappearance.

I am a voracious reader and I can gobble up a 300 pages book in a day or 2. At the moment, I am reading this book title “Leaving Microsoft to Change the World” by John Wood. He started RoomToRead.org after he left his high-paying job to start schools in less developed countries like Nepal and Vietnam.

After reading this inspiring book, there is a burning desire in me to do much more beyond what I am doing now. This book has somehow answered some of my deepest questions on what is my purpose in creating my wedding blog.

Yes, now I am working in local family service centre reaching out to single-parent families, including the children.

I know living a life with an absent parent figure is not easy and it does in a major way impact the growth of the children. I am from one and my father passed away when I was relatively young.

Death of a parent is inevitable but other losses due to divorce and separation may be avoided in some cases. In fact, I am angered by the fact that basic family values such as commitment to the marriage is being eroded in our modern society.

Divorce is no longer a taboo word in families and the number of divorced cases spikes each year throughout the world.
