*Urgent:

Hi, I have a question from one of our readers and I would appreciate if you can give him some ideas:

"My younger sister is getting married 3 wks after my wedding and the elders say this is not good
and will bring bad things to me (the brother). I will be undergoing the Chinese Ceremony and she'll be doing the church ceremony.

What are the bad things that could happen and

How do I prevent them from happening?"

What are your thought on this? "Please use the comments below. :) Thanks alot!

Hey, basically, it has a lot to do with the Chinese taboos. Unable to be explicit about what are the bad things, in general, any unpleasant events that may take place after the wedding are pushed to that particular taboo.

In fengshui, this is known as the clash, ideally, there should be no 2 weddings in the family that should take place within 3 months of the first wedding.

The 'xi' energy is clashed for this reason. If you are really concerned, you may want to consult a fengshui practitioner (forget the fortune teller please, fengshui practitioner is different from fortune teller) and seek advice. There may things to wear or some procedures to take in order to divert the clash.

to add on to what Lis has mentioned….I feel there won't be any misfortune that may happen…many times we forgot to enjoy the wedding day and we focus on too much on the possibilities which may never happen…

however, being Chinese and to "play safe", no two weddings should be too close…
