5 Biggest Headaches Wedding Couples Are Experiencing

As Featured On Ezine Articles

Recently, I sent out an email to my readers asking them about the biggest headache they are experiencing while planning their weddings.

bride headache

I have quite a number of replies and I have taken out the 5 most common biggest headaches wedding couples are experiencing so that we all can learn from their experiences.

I would like to stress that no name is mentioned to protect the identity of the wedding couples.

Headache 1: “My husband can’t seem to be bothered by the wedding planning and I feel so lost. He didn’t even stay with me during the trying of wedding gowns. I don’t even know if he is the right one for me.”

It sounds real bad. Most of the times, ladies just need the reassurance that they look good in their new wedding gowns. It is their first experience and we are all excited over our first time. Who is not?

In addition to that, it is the companionship of someone important to the brides and the process of enjoying the wedding gown selection together.

For guys, they are more goal-oriented and that makes the difference in their shopping styles. They only visit a mall when they know what to buy and where they can find what they want. They go into the mall, grab the items, pay for them and leave.

Ladies like to hang around the malls, try the items if their are clothings, walk around to other malls and talk about their buying experience.

Headache 2: “The biggest problem I’m facing now is the number of tables I need to standby for my wedding dinner and how much money I need to standby for the bandquet just in case I need to fork out any.”

It seemed to me that the number of extra tables is hard to guess. This may arise due to indecisiveness of parents as well as the in-laws on who to invite.

Even for me, my in-laws were not even sure till the last few weeks before our wedidng day. On my side, my mother had to make do with what had been planned by not inviting her friends.

What we had done at that point in time is to give a rough gauge and make do with it.

Wedding Bells for Mr. & Ms. Laidback – by Violet Lim

This article is extracted from a Singapore’s Match-making blog:

relationship advice

“Two of our members are tying the knot today! :)

Actually, as I am writing this post, they are probably saying their vows. Their respective dating consultants are representing the company to attend the solemnization ceremony.

The couple dropped by earlier this week to convey their thank yous.

Jamie and I met up with them, and we had a good chat. Lets call them Mr. and Ms. Laidback, soon to be known as Mr. and Mrs. Laidback. :)

As for why I decided to name them Mr. & Ms. Laidback I actually mean it in a good way, because I feel that they are both very relaxed and friendly, and both quick to warm up to people. :)

So anyway, the story goes like this

They went on their first date, and Ms. L was very stressed out at work that day. So she broke every first date rule possible. Its quite funny

She told me, You know the list of Dos and Donts you guys send us in your email, I broke every single one of them!

Basically, she unloaded her stress on him. Oops!

According to Mr. L, he thought Ms. L was definitely quite different from his previous dates! Haha! :)

And if thats not bad enough, after he gave her his namecard, she forgot to give him hers. So on his side, he thought shes probably not interested in exchanging details.

8 Important Dates that You Must Remember to Stay Alive

As Featured On Ezine Articles

Thinking that you have a load of dates to remember for your work, there are more to come.

wedding date

Wedding planning is a mega project with a massive number of dates to remember.

If you do not have a diary to record the dates and you do not want to forget any of the following important dates, I suggest you stop reading right now and go get a personal wedding diary.

I remembered right after the proposal, a date has to be set aside to talk to my wife’s mother so as to tell her the good news.

Right after that throughout the wedding plannng phase, there were endless number of dates to set aside to visit the many bridal studios, the hotels, the photographers and the videographers, to carry out the customary wedding practice and to renovate the bedroom.

Even though it may be convenient for the wedding couple to take the easy way out to discuss over the phone or to sign the contract right at the bridal exhibition, it may not be so ideal in the long term.

Recently, I got an email from a bride telling me that she changed her bridal studio and she lost her thousand dollars deposit.

The bridal studio was a reasonably popular one but the experience she had with them was so bad and really pissed her off such that she had to forgo the deposit she had with them.

7 Wedding Games To Make the Groom Blush

According to ancient time, wedding door game implies that the bride is a lovely girl and her family and friends do not want to marry her away. The groom will be blocked at the bride’s door, and her friends will try to stop him from entering by asking questions about the bride, a way to test if he really cares about her.

They may also do other tricks to delay the bride’s leaving. The groom will try to buy his way in by presenting “Li Shi”, token money wrapped in red envelops. The entire “bargain” process is joyous and good-natured.

I think I shouldn’t bored you with too much theory or history. Let’s get down to the most fun thing which is coming up with wedding games to.

In Singapore where is dominated by the Chinese community, we play wedding games both in the morning and at night.

In the morning, wedding games are played so that the groom will have a hard time getting to the bride.

At night during the wedding dinner, wedding games are played so that there will be entertainment for the guests. Ha…in addition, the main reason is because the wedding couples are the main stars for the night and friends will bound to want to have some fun during this special occassion.

Below are 7 wedding games you can use if you are given the special tasks to plan wedding games for the wedding couple.

7 Wedding Games To Make the Groom Blush:

1. Getting Groom to Pose Like a Model in the Bride’s undergarments and dress

At my cousin’s wedding this year, her bridesmaids cut out sexily and scantily dressed models’ pictures and the groom had to pose like the models. And of course, there were some dresses and undergarments belonging to my cousin and the groom has to wear them before he posed.

We had a great time laughing and at the expense of the face of the groom.

2. Tying Banana to the Groom’s Groin Area

This is a real example that my wife told me. In fact, our photographer shown her the video of the torturing of the groom who was one of his customers. The bridesmaids tied a banana pointing up at the groin area of the groom. And it was not the groomsmen who ate it but the bridesmaids. Hmmm…I wonder whose idea it was.

3. Eating off the chest
