Finally… Bought our Wedding bands and Mattress

Yesterday had been a satisfying day. We ordered both the mattress and the wedding bands. 

 We ordered our mattress in Rochor Centre (beside Bugis MRT). There were many displays. It was a furniture with matresses, bed frames, sofa sets, dining tables, cupboards and many more. The shop is on the second storey. 

 The salesman was very polite. He greeted us with a warm smile and congrat us on our wedding. Then, he showed us the matresses. Of course, he showed us the cheaper matress. We were going to order a King-size one. We learnt that there were a few types. The one we saw had a 2inch of latex, priced aroung $1.5K. The other normal one without latex is $1K. latex is geenrally a soft cushion and it is medically certified to repel mosquitoes. I was doubtful la. And there is no mosquito in my home. 

For kingkoil matress, it's spring is about 2 times bigger in diameter than those normal brands. So it has more support. The offer right now is it is cheaper by 50%, 2 free pillows and 1 free mattress cover. The original price is about $3000. 

 Of course, we got the cheaper one due to our budget. I felt it was not so much of the mattress but using such opportunity to communicate with my fiancee how we can compromise each other. Of course, more comfortable is good but we got to think in long term too and how we can manage our money together and I'm really grateful that she is very understanding!!! 

 The other brand is Dunlopillo. Generally, I felt all brands are the same because of the similar mattress technology. 

  So we paid a 30% deposit, about 1.5 month to process our order and the delivery will be sent it to our house. Sad to say the mattress cant go into the lift and the delivery guys will have to climb over 25 to 30 flights of stairs!!!  

 After accomplishing the first "mission", we went to Lee Hwa in Wisma Atria to get our wedding bands. Will tell you more in my next post…
